I started doing electrical work back in 1999, shortly after finishing high school. I found it to be an exciting, challenging career that I soon excelled at. I worked for four electrical contractors before 2005, when I decided to take a risk and go into business for myself.

Starting my own company was a career-long goal that I was willing to work for tirelessly. I had many clients that I had been doing side jobs for, and my list of clients continued to grow through word of mouth.

Soon after launching my own business, Rein Electric, I found craigslist and started taking advantage of the free advertising to spread the word about our services. At the time, I was one of only three electricians using the site — and the only one with a website.

While doing a high-end residential lighting job downtown Chicago, I fell in love with fine lighting. Specializing in custom lighting came naturally and it is no doubt what we do best.

Even in this economy, we still have very few days off. We attribute our success to our hard work, dedicated employees, our clients and our desire always to improve. We protect our reputation by being fair, doing clean work and always delivering a job well done.

It has been five years and, with a lot of hard work and a passion for what we do, we’re still going strong. We have four great employees, two trucks and hundreds of satisfied clients. We thank all of you for keeping us busy.
